LOOK: Portraits Backstage at Olympus Fashion Week. For the last three seasons, photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders and his assistants have wrangled designers, models and celebrities attending fashion shows at Bryant Park and cajoled them into sitting for a portrait. Those images have been compiled in a book called “Look: Portraits Backstage at Olympus Fashion Week,” which will be published by powerHouse in September. Among those Greenfield-Sanders snapped were Vanessa Williams, Harry Belafonte, Patti Hansen, Parker Posey, Barry Diller, Kelly Osbourne, Lou Reed and Richard Branson – plus a slew of designers, of course. “Most portraits weren’t arranged in advance,” Greenfield-Sanders said. “We just walked up to people and asked them. The designers did sittings 10 minutes before a show would start. I had so little time with them.” In addition to the portraits, “Look” will feature essays by Zac Posen, Tinsley Mortimer, Alec Baldwin and Heatherette’s Richie Rich and Traver Rains, among others. A portion of the book’s proceeds will be donated to the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance, cofounded by Katie Couric. Greenfield-Sanders and Olympus auctioned off several portraits last year to raise funds for the organization. Sharon Edelson
