Art dealer Bjorn Wetterling exhibited at Miami Art Basel Timothy's 13 portraits of Injured Soldiers, first seen on HBO's Alive Day Memories: Home From Iraq.

Music legend and photographer Lou Reed snapped these photos on his iphone hours before his own art fair screning of "Berlin", a documentary directed by Julian Schnabel of the 2006 St. Ann's Warehouse performance of Reed's classic album.

American Photo Magazine included Timothy's portrait of soldier John Jones on the cover of its January/February 2008 issue. The image was reproduced full page inside and was awarded an honorable mention in its Images of the Year contest.

The Sundance Film Festival has accepted "The Black List", a film collaboration between Timothy and the legendary, Elvis Mitchell.

Soldiers' Portraits Make the Costs of War More Visible

On a windless fall day that feels like summer, the boats still as statues outside Timothy Greenfield-Sanders's window on Lake Oscawana, Iraq seems a million miles away. But then, unless it's your kid or your spouse, unless you're directly involved with training soldiers to go to war or patching up the ones who come home with broken pieces, where isn't that true?
